Hi fam and friends, welcome to our new blog. I am sitting in a hotel room in London and its way too early in the morning to be on a computer. But I want to start sharing with you little bits and pieces of our lives. So be prepared to be dazzled. jk i really just hope it doesn't put you all to sleep! I'm new to this whole blogging concept but I imagine we'll be posting all kinds of random things and pics about travels, Adriana's races, and whatever else we conjure up. Hope you enjoy! -jn

The hotel was pretty nice - but WAYYY too expensive. Our tiny room would have been over $600 a night. Good thing we didn't have to pay, or i'd be sleeping under the bridge ;)

A couple nights before the race we got picked up on this boat for a cocktail party. I felt like James Bond. They had some pre race speeches and some pump up videos. They played the video of the Chicago Marathon too. I thought it was awesome - but Adriana was cringing a little. They treat her like a celebrity at these races. And they're like, 'who's that guy with you eating all the h'orderves?'

RACE DAY!
On a double decker bus - heading for the start line. One of the worlds best marathon runners, and next to her is Constantina Dita. :D
Elite women and top 100 start first. The weather was great (in the beginning).

Athletes start eyeing each other down and fights break out in the lobby. Not really but it feels intense. There are tons of logistical type stuff that goes on ... like press conferences, approving their running outfits, drug tests, getting special drinks and water stations located for the elite athletes and dealing with all the nerves of a huge race.
